Information
Summary
A grouping of four standing figures surround a flagpole, facing outward. On the front is a soldier with a helmet, with a long coat covering his uniform. In front of him is an eagle with its left side facing outward and its upstretched wings obscuring the soldier to his knees. On the right is a woman hooded in robes, a garland wreath in her right hand, her left hand on her chest. On the rear is a blacksmith with short hair, wearing an open-collared shirt that is rolled to his elbows, and a calf-length apron, holding tongs. On the left is a woman in classical robes with upswept hair and a cloak tied in the front, her right hand upraised. A circular bundle of bound rods separates each of the figures. The sculpture is mounted upon a circular, multitiered base with an inscription on the front.
